Implement improvements in testing and evaluating learners’ learning outcomes, in order to help staff and lecturers to improve their ability to design tools to assess learners’ competencies to meet expected learning outcomes. Foreign Trade University in cooperation with the University of Education, Hanoi National University, organized the training course “Developing learner competency assessment tools” on September 16 and September 17, 2022.
Attending the opening of the training course, on the side of Foreign Trade University were Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan – Principal; Dr. Nguyen Phuc Hien – Director of for Testing & Quality Assurance, leaders of specialized units and staff and lecturers of the University. From the University of Education, Hanoi National University, there was Ms. Le Thi Hoang Ha – Rapporteur.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan emphasized the need to innovate learner competency assessment tools in the context that the University is building an innovative educational ecosystem. He hopes this training course will help lecturers access many new and diverse tools to assess learners’ competency.
At the training course, the school’s staff and lecturers participated in learning, exchanging and practicing contents including: Systematizing theoretical issues on assessing learner competencies; Design tools to assess learners’ cognitive abilities; Analyze the reliability and validity of testing and evaluation forms and use of test and evaluation results for summative and formative feedback purposes.
